PowderFAB Lattice Studio — End-User License Agreement
This agreement is between you and PowderFAB (“we”, “us”) and covers your use of PowderFAB Lattice Studio (the “Software”). By installing or using the Software you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install it.
1. Free Beta License
The Software is currently in beta and is provided free of charge for the duration of the beta period. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software for personal projects and internal business use, including commercial engineering work. Future releases may be offered under different terms; this will never apply retroactively to versions you already have.
2. Your Designs Belong to You
Anything you create with the Software — imported models, generated lattices, exported files — is yours. We claim no rights over your designs or output, and you may use them commercially without restriction or attribution.
3. What You May Not Do
You may not: (a) redistribute, re-host, sell, rent, or bundle the Software without our prior written permission — please direct others to the official download at powderfab.org instead; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except where applicable law expressly permits it; (c) remove or alter copyright or attribution notices; or (d) misrepresent the Software as your own work.
4. Privacy — 100% Local Processing
All geometry processing happens locally on your machine. The Software does not upload your CAD files, designs, or project data anywhere. No account is required to use it.
5. Beta Software — Please Read
This is pre-release software. It may contain bugs, produce unexpected results, or change between releases; features may be added or removed. Save and back up your work regularly. We would genuinely appreciate bug reports, via powderfab.org/contact or the in-app Help → Report Bug menu.
6. Engineering Responsibility
The Software is a design aid, not a substitute for engineering judgment. You are solely responsible for validating that any generated geometry — including lattice structures — is fit for its intended purpose before manufacturing or real-world use, especially in safety-critical applications.
7. No Warranty
The Software is provided “AS IS”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Software, including lost data, lost profits, failed prints, wasted material, or the performance of manufactured parts based on its output.
9. Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, we may use them freely to improve the Software, without obligation to you.
10. Ownership and Termination
The Software remains the property of PowderFAB, © 2026, all rights reserved. This license ends automatically if you breach these terms; you may end it at any time by uninstalling the Software. Sections 2 and 6–9 survive termination.
